Hey! Where did Harold go?
After the show's seventh season, Pat McKenna felt that it was time to take a break from
being Harold and to concentrate on his other show 'Traders', and his character Marty Stephens.
To accomodate this change in the show, the character of Harold went off to college and
eventually landed a job as a Assistant Account Executive. He still showed up occasionally
on various segements without his usual plaid shirt and suspenders. Once 'Traders'
had finished its production run, Harold began to play an active role again, both in the
movie and the show, where he got a job in Public Relations for Possum Lake.
Hey! Where did Bill go?
Bill (Rick Green) decided to leave the show after its eighth season. After decades of working
in various troupes, he felt it was time to work on a solo project and began his new show
'History Bites'. The premise of the show is "What if television had been around for the past
5000 years?". Each week a different period in history is studied, and the viewer 'channel surfs'
through various programs, which are usually spinoffs of shows such as 'Seinfeld', 'Antiques
Roadshow' and 'Coach's Corner'. Rick returned as 'Bill' in 2003.
When and where can I watch the show?
If you live in Canada, there are plenty of opportunities to tune in. Newer seasons air on CBC
(although they shuffle them around a lot- see the official schedule for air times.) If you get
The Comedy Network, older seasons air throughout the week.
If you live in the United States, it's not so easy. No major US networks carry the show, so
your best bet is to check PBS's website, find your local station and see if they have it.
Only stations that have high viewer support for the RGS (ie: Iowa) show it regularily.
How can I attend a taping of the show?
As of September 2005, tickets for the 15th and final season have been completely
sold out, so unfortunately you've missed your chance!
Where can I watch clips online?
The official site is updated weekly with clips from the show, and even more can be seen
on ilaugh.com's Red Green site.
